Ex-Naxalite turns into priest, teaching spirituality to masses
Jamshedpur (Jharkhand), Sep 22 (ANI): Breaking their past allies with Naxals, a number of tribals are returning to mainstream in order to lead a better life. This priest from Jharkhand’s Jamshedpur is one among those tribals who had earlier joined the Naxals under their influence but when their true face got exposed, he decided to give up arms. After coming out from jail in 2012, he came back to his village in Chaliyama, situated in the Dalma Wildlife sanctuary in Jamshedpur, and became a priest. So, once known as a Naxalite Karoo Singh, he is now famous as priest Deenbandhu Singh, whose aim is to guide people to choose the right path and serve God. Deenbanshu has now become a ray of hope for all the tribals. He has immense faith in God and it’s due to this faith, that every day, people not only from Jharkhand but also from West Bengal, throng the temple made by him in order to get solutions for their problems. It’s not just Deenbandhu, but a number of tribal youth, who earlier joined the Naxal outfits, are realizing the futility of violence and are gradually abandoning arms in order to be part of the mainstream.
