Water crisis: Rural women forced to go extra miles for fetching water
Mayurbhanj (Odisha), Apr 20 (ANI): As the intense heat condition prevailed across Odisha, rural areas of the state are facing water crisis. The women of Mayurbhanj district are forced to travel to far off places for fetching water. According to a resident, they are reeling under acute drinking water crisis for the last few days, wells in the localities have gone dry and they are bound to fetch water from long distances. Intense heat conditions prevailed over most parts of the state. On Thursday the mercury soared to 43 degrees Celsius in Titlagarh, making it the hottest place in the state. The residents of Udala Sub-Division, Karanjia, Rairangpur Sub-Division of Mayurbhanj are dealing with the same problem.
