Life in school and pre-college is always different as it is quite enclosed, protected and academic. But life changes when you step into college. A totally new environment, a feeling of independence, new atmosphere and most importantly a responsibility will decide the future of your life. So, the real life begins at college. What would be the kind of experiences or mindset of students at that point, here are a few.
 
Some of them say it is going to be a whole new experience because there are no friends, the classrooms are large and they have to strike a balance between studies and co-curricular activities in college. Reading up about the college is something many do to get an idea about the campus and its environment. Of course, they add that they don't want to bunk classes but would like to hang out with the new found friends.
 
Another group feels it is adjustment which is the biggest challenge. The ability to decide and judge on his/her own is another quality which has to be developed. So, confidence is very important in these aspects. Few students mention that their parents have given advice on not trusting everything and everyone. Of course, things are quite different to those who are going to stay at hostels.
 
There are no rules per se in college hostels but it gives an opportunity to interact with students from different parts of the country. Freedom is a privilege and it has to be used wisely. Few students mention that they want to study hard and focus on the syllabus. Having a laidback attitude in college is a strict no-no to them. They feel this is the right platform to show their talents.
