Teaching resources from TCS to reduce digital skills gap
Tata Consultancy Services, rated as India's leading IT services company, has reportedly unveiled a new initiative which has been designed for encouraging more and more young people into digital careers.
In association with The Tech Partnership and MyKindaCrowd, it has come with a resource pack to help teachers in educating young people regarding possible roles in the IT industry, and the steps, which are required for achieving that ambition. Digital technologies are known for playing a defining role in every aspect of our lives and this trend would only continue to grow and hence there would be an increase in terms of demand for employees with digital skills. Therefore, more young people should be able to choose the right education, for the required future skills, according to Nupur Singh Mallick, the HR director of Tata Consultancy Services UK & Ireland.
TCS has stated that it believes that businesses should be taking more action for helping people to educate and inspire over the potential advantages of the digital-skills-based career. The TechFutures Careers Resource Pack is an important of its IT Futures programme, a series of TCS-led initiatives created for fostering enthusiasm among the young people and address many of the long-term challenges which limits the growth of the digital talent pool. This has been created for UK and soon would be rolled out in India too.
