As many as 43,957 of the 5,71,627 candidates who sat for National Eligibility Test (NET) in June have qualified the examination, the result of which was announced on Tuesday.
 
Of the total qualified candidates, it is heard that 3,625 candidates have qualified for Junior Research Fellowship. This comes as a good improvement in the results compared to previous years.
 
The minimum qualifying criteria for general category candidates was 65 per cent, for OBC it was 60 per cent and 55 per cent for SC/ST and candidates with disability.
