The University Grants Commissionhas proposed regional centres of education management in prestigious IIMs to strengthen and improve teachers' education.
 
They are also looking to develop specialized cadre of academy of teaching and teacher educators. It has suggested the regional centres of education management in IIMs at Ahmedabad, Kolkata and Bangalore.
 
The same has been planned for National University of Educational Planning and Administration, the Consultative Committee of Parliament on HRD was informed on Tuesday.
