Kerala Sastra Sahithya Parishad former president and well-known educationist, RVG Menon said that Right to Education (RTE) Act assures quality education to children.
 
He added that the state has a long way to go so far as quality education is concerned. Emphasizing that effective monitoring is an important aspect in ensuring quality, Menon said that in the past the academic inspection used to be done by the AEO and DEO.
