the capital currently has over 900 government schools.

"Ninety-four new government schools will be opened in different parts of the city in the current academic session," Delhi's Education Minister Arvinder Singh Lovely said here.

"This major step has been taken in view of the growing demand for admission to government schools," said a government official.

The government would also set up modern playgrounds in all the nine districts of Delhi, said Lovely.
