A recent study has revealed that many American adolescents don't want to go to college. They reject this as boring and aggravating especially the Advanced Placement, International Baccalaureate and other college-level courses offered to them in high school.
 
In Montgomery County and a few other parts of the country, the International Baccalaureate organization is launching a program called the IB Career-related Certificate.
 
Some call it IB Lite, but it is tough enough that institutions like Rockville High School have found only about a dozen students are willing to try it.
