Maharashtra govt to link admission numbers with the Aadhaar card

  
The government of Maharashtra has reportedly decided to link the admission registration numbers of school students to Aadhar card to effectively implement Right to Education Act.

An initiative to prepare the Aadhaar cards for school kids of the state will be undertaken from 27 April to 26 June. This has been revealed by a government resolution (GR) that has been issued in the state on Tuesday.

The government asked local administration to make sure that school children at talukas and village levels are given Aadhaar cards within a period of sixty days.
