Members of the educational establishment who oppose the Gove
Baccalaureate never point out that existing English public examinations have no
international credibility.
According to reports, Singapore still takes O-levels, other
countries use the old GCSEs which were current before the latest lot were
brought in.
With English as the international language, English exams
should rule the world. Whatever else the Gove baccalaureate will be, it will be
an exam that passes all the tests for international recognition. |
