An international conference opened Monday in the eastern Russian city aimed at building an educational network across the Asia-Pacific, according to a news report.
 
The two-day gathering, one of Russia's initiatives as the 2012 Asia Pacific Economic Cooperation (APEC) chair, focuses on promoting regional integration in education and academic mobility of students and faculty in a globalised world.
 
Delegates will discuss prospects for forming multilateral partnerships between universities in particular establishing a network of APEC Study.
