Education Minister Jody Carr of Canada will be in China on a trip designed to strengthen the province's long-standing education arrangement with the country. But it is heard that the education minister's $10,000 trip comes as he's placed a moratorium on travel in his department. Carr said he considered not going on the China trip, but he said he has refused many other chances to travel and he thinks this is money well spent. The relationship between Chinese schools and New Brunswick began 15 years ago. |
