Goa Sandalwood Movie Review
Story:
Three friends (komal, tarun, sriki) escape from village along with the jewellery of the local goddess and head to Goa. Their plan is to find a foreign girl and marry her so that they can become rich. In that one person (komal) finds a foreigner (rachel) and tries to woo her while the other two fall for south Indian beauties (sonu, sharmila). However, things take a turn which lands the trio in trouble and how things take shape after that forms the rest.
Goa Kannada Cinema Review
Presentation:
The director has come up with a remake storyline and while the presentation was nice, the narrative was bad. The dialogues were stale. The script was below average and the screenplay made it even bad. The background score was alright but songs were not that great. Cinematography was the saving grace to the movie. Editing was alright. Costumes were flashy enough to suit the backdrop while the art department was adequate. Komal Kumar did his bit as required and was nothing special, Tarun also did his part well whereas Sriki contributed in the right manner. Sharmila looks sizzling hot while Rachel was ravishingly seductive, Sonu was sweet. The others didn’t get much scope.

Conclusion:
The film is the remake of the Tamil hit with the same name but then the focus was more on providing some visual feast and some front bench entertainment than a proper plot and storyline. The first half goes about with elements of stale comedy, some fun and some romance. The interval bang was okay and the second half revolves around some serious moments and then some abrupt comedy. Overall, this is a film which could have been a lot better in many departments. At the box office, this will sink without a trace.
