Power Sandalwood Movie Review
An entertaining tale, the story begins with Bharat (puneeth) a tough and honest cop who is out to get the bad guys. His father Krishnanda (shivaji) is a very noble and highly regarded person among the masses. However, his enemies plan and attack him. They think he is dead. But he is rescued and he keeps recovering. Meanwhile, Bharat is given the task to locate a dreaded mafia don (Kelly dorjee). Incidentally, even the don is also linked to the condition of Krishnanda. The story takes a turn when Bharat gets to know about what exactly happened to his father. He decides to take revenge on all those who are responsible and what happens from there forms the rest of the story.
Power Kannada Cinema Review
The director has come up with a predictable storyline and while the presentation was neat, the narrative was strong. The dialogues were the highlight and they are very entertaining, the script was well written and the screenplay was apt. Background score was good and almost all the songs were hummable. Cinematography was effective. Editing was regular. Costumes were stylish while the art department was appealing and rich. Puneeth Rajkumar has given a thunderbolt performance and he rocks with his looks and performance. Trisha was sweet and contributed well. Kelly Dorjee looks stylish and scores. Rangayana Raghu was outstanding. Sadhu Kokila was hilarious. Tennis Krishna, Shobaraj, Jai Jagadish and others did their bit as required.
Power Filem Review
The film is the remake of the Telugu blockbuster ‘Dookudu’ and the makers have tweaked the script slightly but stuck to the original plot. They manage to engage the audience with good dose of humour. While the first half goes in various directions and creates an unrest, it is the second half which really makes up for all the hiccups and goes breezily. Despite the length of the film, there is enough comedy and entertainment which carries the audience. At the box office, this will appeal to Puneeth Rajkumar fans, family audiences. So, success is strongly written on the cards.
