Rose Sandalwood Movie Review
Story:
Ajay (ajay rao) and Ammu (shravya) are lovers and though Ajay is good, his group of friends is drunkards. Trouble comes when Ajay is arrested by the police for the murder of Rohan (tilak) and he is sentenced to life imprisonment. But in truth, it is Ajay’s friends who kill Rohan. Knowing this, jailer Surya (saikumar) helps Ajay to come out but by that time, Ajay gets into trouble with the gangster Catu (petrol prasanna). What happens from there forms the rest.

Presentation:
The director has come up with a predictable storyline and while the presentation was good, the narrative was not that gripping. The dialogues were alright. The script was average and the screenplay could have been better. The background score was melodious and two songs were worth watching. Cinematography was efficient. Editing was not upto the mark. Costumes were well designed while the art department was appealing. Ajay has carried out his role with good strength and he scored. Shravya looks pretty and she made her presence felt, she has good potential. Saikumar was a showstealer, Petrol Prasanna was mean as usual, Tilak was alright. Others didn’t get much scope.

Conclusion:
The film comes across as an action entertainer mixed with romance and some comedy but then the packaging should have been done properly. The first half is somewhat slow and elements of romance and comedy are there. The interal bang was alright but the second half had its share of pitfalls. The major setback for this film is its length, if that was trimmed the film would have created a good impact. Overall, the film had potential but it may not be able to score due to weak handling and the length. At the box office, this could be an average to below average fare.

Bharatstudent verdict: This rose is not that appealing
