Story: A remake tale, the story begins with Raja Huli (yash) who comes from a rich family. He spends his time with his friends and has a good time. The story takes a turn when he decides to help a friend’s love story by conveying the message to a girl. When he goes to give the message, he discovers it is his ex-flame Kavery (meghana raj). Added to that, a murder happens and Raja is trapped in that. What happens from there forms the rest of the story.
Presentation: The director has come up with an interesting storyline and while the presentation was rich, the narrative was quite absorbing. The dialogues were well written. The script was above average and the screenplay made it lot better. The background score was melodious and three songs were worth watching. Cinematography was efficient and captured the locales well. Editing was crisp. Costumes were well designed to suit the backdrop while the art department was majestic. Yash did a good job and he suited the role perfectly. Meghana Raj is seductive and expressive. Charan Raj was good, Harsha was apt, Vasishta was versatile, Ashwini was adequate, Chikkanna was casual.
Conclusion: The film happens to be the remake of the Tamil hit ‘Sundarapandian’ but then the director has made few changes to the script to suit the Kannada nativity. The first half goes on a lighter tone with elements of comedy, some romance and action. But the second half gets a bit serious and there are many twists and turns in the tale. Overall, this is a film which is quite engaging in terms of entertainment and material. At the box office, success looks strong. Bharatstudent verdict: Good entertainer with nice twists, watch it
