Attahasa Sandalwood Movie Review
A real life tale the story is about the noted forest brigand Veerappan (kishore) and his life right from his childhood to his growth as the most dreaded man in the forest areas of Karnataka and Tamil Nadu. Though at one point he is tried to be brought to the good path by DCF Srinivas (suchindra prasad), Veerappan chose the wrong path and faced his end in the hands of STF. The episode also involves the kidnap of the matinee idol Rajkumar (Suresh Oberoi) and what happens after that forms the rest of the story.
Attahasa Kannada Cinema Review
The director has come up with an interesting storyline and while the presentation was rich, the narrative was the letdown.  The dialogues were okay. The script was written alright but the screenplay had many errors. The background score was the best and one song was okay. Cinematography was excellent.  Editing was required at many places. Costumes were rustic and suiting the situation while the art department was very natural. Kishore has done a very good job and he suits the role very well. Vijayalakshmi is a very attractive girl and her deglam performance was good. Suchindra Prasad was overacting. Arjun was elegant, Ravi Kale was good. The others did their bit as required.
Attahasa Filem Review
A film on the life of one of the most feared man in the country is a very good subject to execute but then it requires good skill of script handling and developing the emotion. The first half takes off promisingly but it loses focus as it progresses. The second half gets botched up due to the poor screenplay and the dragging of scenes. Overall, this is a film which is good in parts but not that impressive. At the box office, the film may reach an average zone.

Bharatstudent verdict: Excessive length, good technical values but not proper execution
