Charminar Sandalwood Movie Review
Story:
An alright tale the story begins with Mohana (prem) who is returning to his native village Himagiri from USA to attend the old students reunion function. He recollects his past and remembers Radha (meghana). After meeting her Mohana’s life changes completely and he wants to locate her. But Radha meets with an accident and loses her leg. When Mohana reaches the school he is unable to find her and later discovers her in a rather pathetic condition. What happens after that forms the rest of the story.

Presentation:
The director has come up with a somewhat emotional subject and while the presentation was nice, the narrative was good in parts.  The dialogues were regular. The script was predictable but the screenplay could have been more effective. The background score was decent and three songs were good to watch and hear. Cinematography was nice.  Editing was required during first half. Costumes were youthful and stylish while the art department was excellent. Prem has come up with a versatile performance his role was challenging. Meghana Gaonkar did a deglam role and scored. Kumudha was brief but good. Suresh Mangalore was moderate, Vidyamurthy was neat. The others didn’t have much scope.

Conclusion:
Coming up with emotional subjects usually don’t have much of twists and turns but it all depends on how the director is handling the subject. In few places he has attempted variety. The first half goes about in a nostalgic manner with some light moments of comedy and romance. The second half is more emotional and has a good dose of melodrama. Overall, this is a film which would appeal to sensitive audience but not that entertaining. At the box office, this could be an average treat.

Bharatstudent verdict: Nice attempt but unwanted drag hampered the impact
