Bhaskar the Rascal Malluwood Movie Review
Story:
Bhaskar (mammootty) is a honest and tough man who cannot stand injustice and corruption. His father Sankaranarayanan (janardhanan) is also a businessman but he fails to succeed. Bhaskar’s life takes a turn when he meets Hima (nayantara), a single mother and her daughter Shivani (anika) is very close to Bhaskar’s son Aadi (sanoop). How things take shape from there forms the rest.

Presentation:
The director has come up with a family oriented action storyline and while the presentation was rich, the narrative was engaging in parts. The dialogues were well written. The script was familiar and the screenplay made it lot better. The background score was melodious and three songs were worth watching. Cinematography was the main strength to this film. Editing was crisp. Costumes were well designed to suit the backdrop while the art department was colorful. Mammootty has once again given a majestic performance and stole the show. Nayantara was gracious and she is a vision of beauty and charm. Sanoop was nice, Baby Anika was cute. Janardhanan was matured. The likes of Harisree Asokan, Kalabhavan Sajon and others were there to bring some smiles.

Conclusion:
Family entertainers and subjects that are related to human values is always a nice thing and if it has a big star, it gets even better. In this movie, the first half was quite breezy and is filled with elements of comedy, some romance and action. The interval bang was good but things got a little shaky in the second half. The pace comes down and even the climax was rather abrupt and routine, this could have been changed. Overall, the film still has enough material to appeal the family and class audience. At the box office, success looks high.
