Nagara Varidhi Naduvil Njan Malluwood Movie Review
Story: Venu (sreenivasan) returns after working in Gulf for many years and he has a beautiful wife Sunitha (sangeetha) and daughter who aspires to become MBBS. The girl is so determined that if she doesn’t get a seat, she swears to commit suicide. Fearing that, Venu decides to sell his small piece of land but when he goes to the spot he finds it to be a dumpyard for a famous colony nearby. Venu along with his friend Davis (innocent) decide to clean it up and what happens from there forms the rest.

Presentation:
The director has come up with a realistic storyline and while the presentation was nice, the narrative was not that gripping. The dialogues were well written at few places. The script was average and the screenplay was moderate. The background score was okay and songs were not that great. Cinematography was effective. Editing was weak. Costumes were well designed to suit the backdrop while the art department was natural. Sreenivasan has carried out his role as required without much issue. Sangeetha looks stunningly pretty and attractive. Innocent was neat, Vijayaraghavan was standard, Lal was standard, Joy Mathew was nice.

Conclusion:
Whenever a film comes from the stable of Sreenivasan, one can expect the typical middle class struggles of the protagonist. The same happens in this as well. The first half revolves around elements of melodrama, sentiment and some comedy. The interval bang was interesting but the second half failed to lift the momentum as required. There was a significant lag in many scenes and the emotional quotient was weak. Overall, this is a film which is quite familiar to the audience so it doesn’t create an impact. At the box office, it could be an average to be below average treat.

Could have been better
