Munnariyippu Malluwood Movie Review
Story:
Anjali (aparna) is a journalist who comes across an ex-convict Raghavan (mammootty) who is put into jail once again. However, Raghavan denies he has done anything wrong. This intrigues Anjali and she decides to know more about him. Meanwhile, her publication is also interested in this and gives her a one month time for the whole story. What happens from there forms the rest of the plot.

Presentation:
The director has come up with an interesting storyline and while the presentation was rich, the narrative was quite absorbing. The dialogues were well written. The script was above average and the screenplay made it lot better. The background score was melodious and songs were worth watching. Cinematography was the main strength to this film. Editing was crisp. Costumes were well designed to suit the royalty while the art department was majestic. Mammootty has once again given a superb performance and he was excellent. Aparna Gopinath was competent. Joy Mathew was good, Nedumudi Venu was natural, Prathap Pothan was impressive, Renji Panicker was regular, Joshy Mathew was apt. Others didn’t get much scope.

Conclusion:
It takes a good deal of conviction when a director has to come up with a subject that is offbeat. In this, he has done a fine job with the right emotional quotient and intensity. The first half goes without much confusion and there are few interesting points for the interval. The post interval portions are also good and have enough twists and turns. The climax is somewhat controversial and can get mixed reactions. At the box office, this is a film which would appeal to different genres of audience and sucess is likely for this one.

Bharatstudent verdict: Realistic and hard hitting!
