In that process, Akbar’s wife is killed and his own men also betray him. But he is saved by his trusted man Hajikka (t g ravi) and eventually Akbar grows to gain control over Mangalore. But a time comes when Akbar has to take the big step and what happens after that forms the rest.
Gangster Malayalam Cinema Review
Presentation:
The director has come up with an action packed storyline and while the presentation was rich, the narrative was a letdown. The dialogues were weak. The script was average and the screenplay was not appealing. The background score was exceptional and only one song was there. Cinematography was the main strength to this film. Editing was weak. Costumes were well designed to suit the royalty while the art department was apt. Mammootty carried out his role with efficiency but he scored more on his look. Kunjan was alright. Shekhar Menon was good. Nyla Usha was brief. T G Ravi was effective. Others were there to fill the screen.

Conclusion:
The entire fel of the film runs on the lines of the iconic ‘Godfther’ movie and it must be said that there is a difference of Chalk and Cheese between the two. The major drawback of the film happens to be its lack of strength in writing and poor twists. Focus is more on violence and style than adding substance to the script. The first half is regular and the interval bang was predictable. The second half didn’t have much to add as it became a predictable treat. At the box office, it doesn’t have a great chance.

Bharatstudent verdict:
Richly made but poor content and execution
