Ettekaal Second Malluwood Movie Review
Story:
An illogical tale, the story begins with Sandeep (padamsurya) who hails from a middle class family and he takes his father’s place as a driver to pick up Niveditha (gimi), granddaughter of a very rich man Menon (madhu). Initially, things don’t go well but eventually Niveditha falls for Sandeep but the problem is she is already engaged to Midhun, a banker. What happens after that forms the rest.

Presentation:
The director has come up with an outdated storyline and while the presentation was rich, the narrative was disappointing. The dialogues were okay. The script was below average and the screenplay was not upto the mark. The background score was melodious but songs were amateur. Cinematography was apt. Editing was not that sharp. Costumes were well designed to suit the royalty while the art department was standard. Padmasurya was a misfit as he could not justify the role of a lover boy, Gimi was gorgeous but not much for her in terms of role, Suraj was standard, Vijayaraghavan was usual, Menon was moderate, the others didn’t get much scope.

Conclusion:
Coming up with romantic entertainers need good command over handling of the script and also generating an interesting screenplay. Both these elements were missing in this one. The first half was quite predictable and lacked the required interest element. The interval bang was just alright and the second half could not muster enough emotional quotient to hook the audience. Overall, this is a film that failed to score at any angle. At the box office, this is going to sink without a trace.
