Story: A stale tale the story is set on the backdrop of London and here lives Vijaydas (prithvi) who owns a set of money lending firms. One day he gets a call from the wealthy man Nambiar (prathap pothen) who wants Vijay to marry his only daughter Pavithra (andrea). She is a lot into social service. When everything looks set, Vijay ends up hitting Merin (nanditha) a new arrival to London. With Pavithra’s insistence, he takes Merin to hospital and realizes she would lose her job due to the accident. What happens from there forms the rest.
Presentation: The director has come up with a triangular romantic storyline and while the presentation was rich, the narrative was weak. The dialogues were normal. The script was below average and the screenplay was spineless. The background score was melodious but songs were not that great. Cinematography was the main strength to this film. Editing didn’t help. Costumes were well designed to suit the royalty while the art department was majestic. Prithviraj did his role well but it could not create an impact. Andrea looks seductive but not much from her in terms of role. Prathap Pothen was elegant, Nanditha is a natural beauty so she captures attention. Others didn’t have much scope.
Conclusion: Triangular love stories are quite common so it is important that one has to weave it with the right kind of emotional juice to make it gripping. However, nothing of that sort was attempted here. Right from the first scene, the film looked quite predictable. The interval bang was alright and the second half gets much slower and testing. Overall, this is a film which focused more on style than substance. At the box office, success is very difficult.
