Silence Malluwood Movie Review
Story:
An alright tale the story begins with Aravind (mammootty) who is a successful lawyer and is all set to become the judge in a district court. While he is ready for that new role he gets a call from a stranger and after a while Aravind discovers it has something serious. He takes the help of his friend Neil (anoop menon) who is a cop to trace the caller. But the moment he meets him the caller dies. What happens after that forms the rest of the story.

Presentation:
The director has come up with an interesting storyline and while the presentation was rich, the narrative was not upto the mark. The dialogues were alright. The script was above average but the screenplay was bad. The background score was strictly okay. Cinematography was the main strength to this film. Editing was not that good. Costumes were elegant while the art department was natural. Mammootty looked classy and he carried out his role with elan. Pallavi looked sweet and did justice to her role. Anoop Menon was adequate. Basil was neat. Others didn’t get much to offer.

Conclusion:
Time and again it has been repeated that thrillers need to come with tight packing of the script and proper screenplay. This film didn’t have that kind of punch at all. The first half was looking somewhat promising but before the interval bang things go awry. The second half has its own share of hiccups and the climax was not at all convincing. Overall, this is a film which had a great story but weak writing and execution. At the box office, this would be a below average fare.

Bharatstudent verdict:
Nice story but spoiled by bad handling
