Idukki Gold Malluwood Movie Review
Story:
An interesting tale, the story begins with Michael (prathap pothen) who returns from Czechoslovakia and he wants to locate his friends of his school St Aloysius at Idukki. In this process, he manages to get in touch with Madan (manianpillai raju), Ravi (raveendran) and all three set out to locate Antony (Babu antony) and Raman (vijayaraghavan). All of them meet and decide to go to their school and visit the Idukki Gold, a plant near their school. But a big surprise awaits them. What happens from there forms the rest of the story.

Presentation:
The director has come up with a very touching storyline and while the presentation was rich, the narrative was quite absorbing. The dialogues were well written. The script was above average and the screenplay made it lot better. The background score was melodious and three songs were worth watching. Cinematography was the main strength to this film. Editing was crisp. Costumes were well designed to suit the natural backdrop while the art department was majestic. Prathap Pothen was perfect, Manianpillai Raju was moderate, Babu Antony was better, Vijayaraghavan was standard. Raveendran stole the show with his witty one liners. Sajeetha and Praseetha were effective.

Conclusion:
It is always a nice feel to see films which are filled with nostalgia and human touch. The director who specializes in this genre has come up with an interesting storyline and he delivers. The first half goes about with the introduction of the characters but it is the twist in the story which is rather striking. The technical and production values were quite good and the two plus hours pass without any idle moment. Overall, this is a worth film and at the box office it has good scope to become a successful venture.

Bharatstudent verdict: Emotional and entertaining, worth watching!
