Story: A gripping tale, the story is set on the backdrop of Chennai and here lives Mathew (nivin) who is an IT professional. His life takes a setback as he is removed from the company suddenly. This puts pressure on him because he owes money to financier Vattiraja (simhaa) aruthless guy. At the same time, his girlfriend Jeena (nazriya) leaves her home to come and stay with him because her father (lalu alex) backtracks on the promise made about their marriage. What happens from there forms the rest of the story.
Presentation: The director has come up with an interesting storyline and while the presentation was rich, the narrative was good enough. The dialogues were well written. The script was above average and the screenplay was excellent. The background score was impressive and songs were worth listening. Cinematography was captivating. Editing was crisp. Costumes were well knit and stylish while the art department was appealing. Nivin Pauly was natural in his performance and he scores. Nazriya looks naturally sensuous and she has a good screen presence. Simhaa was menacing. Manoj K Jayan was hilarious. Shammi Thilakan was superb. The others did their bit as required and added value.
Conclusion: It is not often that one gets to hear or see some fast paced thrillers that too with gangster backdrops in a realistic way. But this film proves to be an exception. It not only deals the subject with a practical outlook it also has good enough performances. The first half is somewhat on the lighter side but it gets serious as it progresses. Overall, this is a film which has every element to score a big success at the box office. Bharatstudent verdict: Well knit thriller type of movie with good performances, recommended
