Story: A good tale dealt badly the story begins with Giri, Jackson, Sherin (rakendu, madanmohan, megha) who are given a bungalow in Ooty. The broker Jeevan (arun) tells the locals that Jackson and Sherin are married. But Giri is a driver, Sherin comes out of a breakup with a guy. The story takes a turn when the rents are revised and unable to pay it they tell Jeevan to arrange for one more partner. In comes a writer Manjila (nandhu) but the next morning he dies. Before the trio can inform the police they discover a big suitcase filled with money. What happens after that forms the rest of the story.
Presentation: The director has come up with an interesting storyline and while the presentation was bad, the narrative was pathetic. The dialogues were stale. The script was mediocre and the screenplay was horrendous. The background score was plain and not one song was worth. Cinematography was the saving grace. Editing should have been crisp. Costumes were alright and suited the moods while the art department was acceptable. Rakhendu has a long way to go if he wants to become a hero, Megha is pretty but has to work on her expressions, Madan Mohan was blank, Arun was alright, Nandhu was okay. The others didn’t have much to do.
Conclusion: It is one thing to come up with a thriller and it is another thing to project it in the right way so that the audience experiences the chills. But that has not worked here. Though the line was good, it is purely due to the bad performances and directing the film fell flat. The first half goes about with the layering of the characters and a regular tale. The interval bang was somewhat interesting but the second half goes down very badly due to stale content. Overall, this is a film which could have been a lot better had the direction and script strength been good. At the box office, this will sink in no time.
Bharatstudent verdict: A film that could have been very engaging but fails due to weak execution and performances
