Story: Indran (vishal) has got ten wishes he wants to fulfil and he also wants to overcome his plaguing problem, narcolepsy. In this process, his mother (saranya) does her best to find a suitable daughter-in-law, his friend (jegan) keeps making fun of him. Then comes a pretty girl (Lakshmi Menon), the daughter of a millionaire who starts getting attached to Indran and likes him. What happens after this forms the rest.
Presentation: The director has come up with a different storyline and while the presentation was rich, the narrative was good in parts. The dialogues were well written at few places. The script was unusual but the screenplay could have been better. The background score was effective and two songs were good to listen and watch. Cinematography was efficient. Editing was required during the second half. Costumes were stylish while the art department was appealing. Vishal has pulled off a good performance and he has improved. Lakshmi Menon is a natural beauty and has a nice sex appeal. Jegan was entertaining. Saranya was standard. Iniya was nice, Jayaprakash was matured.
Conclusion: Amidst the flood of commercial potboilers, it takes a good effort to come up with a script that is different and a subject that is not treaded upon. But it also needs to be packed in the right way. In this film, the first half is promising as it is filled with elements of comedy and some romance. The interval bang was neat but the second half had twists and turns which were complicated. The ending could have been more impact creating. Overall, this is a film which must be appreciated for its theme. At the box office, this will be an average to above average grosser.
Bharatstudent verdict: Good subject, can be watched once
