Story: A routine tale, the story begins with Chinna Vandu (dhanush) who comes from a village and has got his friends with him. His life takes a turn when he sees Vanaroja (nazriya) who hails from the town and from there onwards he tries his best to woo her. Finally Vanaroja falls for Chinna Vandu and both elope. But Chinna Vandu’s two aged brothers (sriman, sathya) fall for Vanaroja and try their best for her. What happens after that forms the rest of the story.
Presentation: The director has come up with an entertaining storyline and while the presentation was weak, the narrative was not that appealing. The dialogues were good at places. The script was average and the screenplay was poor. The background score was nice but only one song was good. Cinematography was not upto the mark. Editing was required at few places. Costumes were well designed to suit the nativity while the art department was apt. Dhanush didn’t really get a challenging role in this one but he did his best. Nazriya is a natural beauty and her striking appeal is effective. The real show stealers were Sriman, Sathyan, Soori with their one liners and comic acts. Saranya was standard. Vamsi Krishna was neat.
Conclusion: Whenever a star hero film arrives the expectations are high so it involves a good story and nice weaving of the plot to make it interesting. That didn’t happen here. The first half goes smoothly and it looks promising but trouble begins in the second half with unwanted songs, forcible comedy and other irrelevant things. Overall, the film would have been interesting if it stuck to the plot but the execution played spoilsport. At the box office, this may not be able to score success.
