Yamuna Kollywood Movie Review
Story:
A stale tale the story begins with Bhaskar (sathya) who is a jobless guy going around having fun doing nothing with his bunch of friends (chaam, sivakumar and others). Due to this, his father is also not happy. But things change after Bhaskar comes across Yamuna (sri ramya) and falls in love with her. Despite several attempts he fails to win her heart and Yamuna’s guardian Chandrika (vinothini) also doesn’t accept. Twist occurs when Yamuna goes missing for few days and returns without saying anything. What happens after that forms the rest of the story.

Presentation:
The director has come up with a predictable storyline and while the presentation was normal, the narrative was very weak. The dialogues were just okay. The script was below average and the screenplay was extremely loose. The background score was suitable but songs were not catchy. Cinematography was just okay. Editing was required in many places. Costumes were regular while the art department was adequate. Sathya has to work a lot on his expressions and body language but this is a decent attempt. Sri Ramya was matured enough and has a traditional sex appeal with oomph. Vinothini was apt, Chaams was alright, Sivakumar was standard. Others didn’t have much scope.

Conclusion:
We have seen hundreds of movies which revolve around a wayward boy falling in love with a girl and changing himself for her. But such routine plots need very tight execution and that didn’t happen here. In the first few scenes itself the film began to fizzle out of interest and could not keep things on track. The twist was good but the second half failed to pick up despite that. Overall, this is a film which is not worth watching. At the box office, it will fizzle out in no time.

Bharatstudent verdict:
Not upto the mark, poor execution
