Azhagan Azhagi Kollywood Movie Review
Story:
A stale tale the story begins with Selva (jack) and his assistant Rani (aarthi) who come to a village and announce about a talent show for a TV channel and the winner would be shown in their channel. All the villagers try to show their best. One among them is Jothi (aarushi) who comes from a foster home and there is also the cop Rathinavel (venkatesh). Selva falls in love with Jothi. The story takes a turn when Rathinavel discovers that Selva and gang are crooks. What happens after that forms the rest of the story.

Presentation:
The director has come up with a confusing storyline and while the presentation was okay, the narrative was bad.  The dialogues were irregular. The script was below average and the screenplay was not that appealing. The background score was alright and Cinematography was somewhat neat. Only one song was worth listening. Editing was required at many places. Costumes were usual and suited the occasion while the art department was natural. Jack has done his best to infuse life into his character but in vain. Aarushi was alright. Venkatesh was good. Aarthi was upto the mark. The rest of the cast didn’t have much scope.

Conclusion:
Trying to cook up a story using a contemporary subject tends to attract attention but if it is not packaged well or woven properly then it becomes a torture. The same happened with this film. Right from the first scene to the interval bang the story didn’t progress at all. The second half attempted to show some twists but it doesn’t have that grip or conviction to engage the viewer. Overall, this becomes a two plus hours of harassment to the audience due to poor direction. This will sink at the box office.

Bharatstudent verdict:
Amateur direction and weak execution, can be ignored
