Maranthen Mannithen Kollywood Movie Review
An alright tale, the story is begins during the 1986 Godavari floods. In a small village, a marriage takes place between Malli (aadhi) and Chitra (Lakshmi). But the floodwater flows in and creates confusion. While they struggle to keep themselves alive, they also get to speak about each other’s past. Malli reveals his past with Sarala (taapsee) and his relationship with her. Chitra reveals her past about Suri (sundeep kishan) and Dora Babu (Ravi Babu). What happens after that forms the rest of the story.
Maranthen Mannithen Tamil Cinema Review
The director has come up with a realistic storyline and while the presentation was rich, the narrative was engaging in parts.  The dialogues were okay. The script was average but the screenplay was effective. The background score was not that strong and only two songs were somewhat melodious. Cinematography was excellent.  Editing was crisp. Costumes were rustic while the art department was fabulous. Due credit should be given to the graphics and VFX team for their work. Aadhi Pinisetty was perfect for the role and he is natural to the core. Lakshmi Manchu was decent and added value. Sundeep Kishan gave a good performance and he scores. Taapsee was not only sexy but very enticing. Ravi Babu was apt, Ramesh made his presence felt, Suja Varunee was sizzling, Annapurna was adequate.
Maranthen Mannithen Filem Review
The film is the dubbed version of the Telugu film 'Gundello Godaari' but then this would most likely appeal a lot to the Tamil audience. The first half goes about in an interesting manner with some interesting sequences while the second half gets a bit dull. The film has a good subject but it suffers due to the lack of emotional intensity. Technically, it is a brilliantly made film with good professionalism. At the box office, the film can get into an average zone but due to the budget it may take a blow with critical acclaim as consolation.

Bharatstudent verdict:
Interesting tale of emotions, can be watched once
