Nankam Pirai Kollywood Movie Review
A horrifying tale, the story begins with the young couple Roy (aryan) and Priya (monal) who come to Transylvania to celebrate their honeymoon. The castle of Count Dracula fascinates Roy and while he gets lost into it the vampire Dracula (sudheer) gets back into life and he starts on a killing spree. In this, he targets Priya’s sister (Shraddha Das) a girl who is gifted with some divine powers. What happens after that forms the rest of the story.
Nankam Pirai Tamil Cinema Review
The director has come up with a remake storyline and while the presentation was rich, the narrative was not that engaging.  The dialogues were just okay. The script was average and the screenplay was ineffective. The background score was appealing and only two songs were melodious. Cinematography was top notch.  Editing was bad. Costumes were rustic while the art department was excellent. Sudheer looked perfect for the role with his height and personality. Equally good was Aryan who was well built and acted well. Shraddha Das was the show stealer, she is a mix of hot sex appeal and very expressive. Monal Gajjar gave the required visual feast. Prabhu was neat, Nasser was natural. Ganja Karuppu was boring. Others didn’t have much to offer.

Nankam Pirai Filem Review
The film is ideally a remake of the famous Hollywood movie Bram Stoker’s ‘Dracula’ but it must be said that there is no comparison to the original. It is indeed a commendable effort from the producers who have spent a lot of money on this film and tried to get it close to the original. But the major flaw was in the direction and screenplay, it failed to deliver the fear factor or the shock value. The first half was alright but the second half was not that convincing. Overall, this is a film which had good scope for improvement. At the box office, it could reach an average zone.

Bharatstudent verdict: Not as impressive as the original
