Thuppakki Kollywood Movie Review
Story:
An action packed tale, the story begins with Jagdish (vijay), a captain with the Indian army and he is keen to flush out the ‘sleeper cells’ in the country. He gets engaged to Nisha (Kajal Agarwal) who hails from his village. The story takes a turn when Jagdish goes to Mumbai and a bomb blast occurs. He starts his hunt to chase the culprits and catches one of them only to discover that there are more of such bombs in the city. How Jagdish goes about tracking the other bombs and the people behind it form the rest of the story.

Presentation:
The director has come up with a predictable storyline and while the presentation was rich, the narrative was engaging.  The dialogues were energy filled, the script was tight and the screenplay was good. Background score was strong and two songs were melodious.  Cinematography was masterly. Editing was upto the mark. Costumes were trendy and youthful while the art department was natural. Ilayathalapathy Vijay looks suave and carries off his role with good style. Kajal Agarwal looks pretty and sexy wherever required. Jayaram gave many laughs. Same goes with Sathyan. Vidyut Jamwal was perfect as the baddie. Akshara Gowda looks hot. Anupama Kumar was apt. The others did their bit as required.

Conclusion:
The film has been shaped up keeping Vijay’s star image in mind and mixed the plot with enough action ingredients which is a treat to his fans. The first half is filled with elements of comedy, romance, songs and some action. The second half is more adrenaline filled with more action sequences and a little patriotic angle. Overall, this is a film which is a perfect treat for the masala loving audience. Given its making and taking, the film will reach success at the box office.

Bharatstudent verdict : Well made masala potboiler, feast to Ilayathalapathy fans
