Dohchay Tollywood Movie Review
Story:
Chandu (chaitu) is a conman who along with his gang makes money so that he can pay fees for his sister’s education. In the process, he meets Meera (Kriti Sanon) and falls in love with her. Meanwhile, one incident occurs wherein Chandu needs a lot of money and his path crosses that of the notorious and crooked Manikyam (posani). One thing leads to another putting Chandu in more trouble. What happens from there forms the rest.

Presentation:
The director has come up with a crime cum comedy storyline and while the presentation was rich, the narrative was engaging in parts. The dialogues were witty and logical. The script was nice and the screenplay could have been better. The background score was energetic and three songs were worth watching. Cinematography was the main strength to this film. Editing should have been sharp during first half. Costumes were stylish and very fashionable while the art department was artistic. Naga Chaitanya carried out his role as required and did well. Kriti Sanon looks stylish and her performance was neat. Posani was entertaining. Brahmanandam was hilarious. Ravi Babu was adequate. Viva Harsha, Sathya, Praveen, Saptagiri added those extra smiles. Madhuurima sizzled in her song. Rao Ramesh was standard. Others did their bit properly.

Conclusion:

The concept of crime comedies when laced with decent action and sensible dialogues always goes well with the audience. In this film, the first half is somewhat mild though it started well and it takes time to pick up the momentum. The interval bang was excellent and things start picking pace in the second half. There was a good balance of action, comedy and entertainment in the second half which makes up for the lag in first half. Overall, this is a movie which is stylishly made and has few engaging moments. At the box office, the film would appeal to the youngsters and commercial audience so it can become a profit grosser.

Bharatstudent verdict: Decent looter!
