Rey Tollywood Movie Review
Amrutha (saiyami) is an aspiring dancer who joins an institute in Caribbean islands. There she comes across a lively and talented guy Rock (sai dharam). She persuades him to join a world level dance competition happening in USA and the reason for that is to defeat the two time pop icon Jenna (shraddha das). Whether she is successful in getting Rock into the competition and whether it works or not forms the rest.
Rey Telugu Cinema Review
The director has come up with a commercial storyline and while the presentation was nice, the narrative was too stretched. The story is somewhat predictable and the script was alright. But the screenplay was weak. The background score was energetic and most of the songs made a mark. Cinematography was superb. Editing was required at many places. Costumes were terrific and apt to the backdrop while the art department was majestic. Sai Dharam put his heart and soul to the character and he has shown immense potential. Saiyami Kher was blank and she could not deliver in terms of performance. The one to watch out for is Shraddha Das. She is not only a visual feast but gave a powerful performance. Tanikella Bharani was nice, Naresh was natural, Hema was usual, Arpit Ranka was alright. Others were there to fill the screen.
Rey Filem Review
The film has been in the pipeline since the past two years and finally it came in with right expectations. The first half takes off nicely but after thirty minutes the momentum comes down. The interval bang was interesting and the second half got dragged a bit. However, the climax is worth all the drawbacks and it has taken the film to a new level. Overall, this is a film which is exclusively for the youth and those who love dance. At the box office, the film has a chance to reach the profit zone with positive word of mouth.
