Chandamama Kathalu Tollywood Movie Review
An anthology of tales, the story is about Lisa (lakshmi) a model who is fading and she gets frustrated with life. Then there is Venkateswar Rao (krishnudu) an IT guy eager to get married as he is ageing. Another tale is that of a beggar (krishneswar rao) who saves his life’s earnings to buy a house of his dream. There is also a crooked college guy who wants to grow rich by luring a minister’s daughter into love. Then there is a widow (aamani) whose life takes a turn when her ex-flame (Naresh) comes into her life. What happens to each one forms the rest.
Chandamama Kathalu Telugu Cinema Review
The director has come up with a set of stories and while the presentation was average, the narrative was very poor. The dialogues were stale. The script was average and the screenplay was ineffective. The background score was melodious and one song is worth listening. Cinematography was not upto the mark. Editing was alright. Costumes were adequate to suit the backdrop while the art department was apt. Lakshmi Manchu gave a committed performance but her role was brief, Aamani was neat, Naresh was natural, Krishnudu was nice, Chaitanya was apt, Krishneswar was perfect, Abhijit was okay, others didn’t get much to do.
Chandamama Kathalu Filem Review
It is nice to see an anthology genre being introduced in Tollywood and the attempt must be appreciated. However, care must also be taken to ensure that the entertainment value remains intact. There are too many stories in this movie which makes it very difficult for the audience to connect to any character. The first half revolves around introducing the different stories, the interval bang was predictable. The second half revolves around connecting the dots but lack of pace and constant shifting spoils the momentum. Overall, this is a film which could have worked if the characters were less and entertainment factor was more. At the box office, success is doubtful.

Bharatstudent verdict:
Too many stories and poor execution, not interesting
