Anna Tollywood Movie Review
A routine tale the story is about Vishwa (vijay) who is a passionate dancer based in Australia. Though he has his business, dance is his life. Eventually he meets Meera (amala) and falls in love with her. After Meera’s father insistence, Vishwa comes to Mumbai to meet his father (sathyaraj) thinking he is a businessman. But he discovers that his father is actually Anna, a rough man who fights for the poor. Vishwa is shocked and loses many things. What happens from there forms the rest of the story.
Anna Telugu Cinema Review
The director has come up with an interesting storyline and while the presentation was rich, the narrative was the letdown. The dialogues were good at places. The script was average and the screenplay damaged it further. The background score was disappointing and not one song was worth listening. Cinematography was the main strength to this film. Editing was much needed. Costumes were well designed to suit the royalty while the art department was majestic. Vijay has not offered anything special that can appeal to the Telugu audience, Amala Paul was the showstealer with her expressive eyes and sweet looks. Sathyaraj was impressive. Santhanam was hilarious. Abhimanyu Singh did his bit as required. Suresh was standard. Nasser was natural. Ragini was ravishing. Others didn’t get much scope.
Anna Filem Review
It is not sufficient to have a good concept and storyline. One should also have the right knack of conceiving it onto screen and make it engrossing. This didn’t happen for the film. The first half goes about with elements of romance, comedy and some songs while the interval bang was alright. The second half gets into the serious mode and action episodes. The main drawback for the film is its length and poor music. Overall, this is a film which may appeal to Vijay fans but nothing for the Tollywood folks. At the box office, this will also fizzle out.

Bharatstudent verdict: Good story but poor execution, not interesting!
