Gouravam Tollywood Movie Review
Story:
Arjun (sirish) is a fearless young man who comes from Hyderabad to his native village with an idea to setup a plant. On reaching there, he realizes that there is a lot of caste based differences in the village. In the meantime, he gets to know his close friend Shankar (madhu) went missing after he escaped with a girl of higher caste. She is the daughter of the village head Pasupathi (Prakash Raj). Arjun decides to locate Shankar and he is helped by Yamini (yami), the daughter of a local union leader. What happens from there forms the rest of the story.

Presentation:
The director has come up with a very serious storyline and while the presentation was rich, the narrative was good in parts. The dialogues were alright. The script was average but the screenplay was absorbing. The background score was effective and songs are regular. Cinematography was rich. Editing was required during the second half. Costumes were normal while the art department was natural. Allu Sirish fails in his looks but luckily for him, the character in the film suits him so he was safe. Yami Gautam is a show stealer and she is sure to loot hearts with her natural beauty and striking appeal. Prakash Raj was mature. Kumaravel was natural. Sricharan was funny. Brahmaji was standard. Nasser was natural. Pavitra Lokesh was decent.

Conclusion:
The film comes across as an offbeat subject with very close to realism. The first half goes about with the layering of the plot and the second half has some good twists leading to a good climax. Technically the film has been well made but given the essence of the subject it has more to offer for thinking and serious audience than the regular commercial audience. Rating this film may not be appropriate given the genre and message. The film is a bilingual and the Tamil version will release soon.

Bharatstudent verdict: Serious subject based on a real incident, meant for thinking audience
