Story: A well knit tale, the story begins with Karthik (mahat) who has failed 16 subjects in his engineering course and is not very serious about studies. He also has a girlfriend Priyanka (archana) who is quite serious about him but she goes to the US to do her MS on parental pressure. This sudden surprise jolts Karthik and Priyanka leaves on a bitter note. She returns in an year unable to stay away from Karthik and is surprised to find he is a changed man. The change occurs due to Chaitra (piaa). Who is Chaitra and what exactly happened forms the rest of the story.
Presentation: The director has come up with a good storyline and while the presentation was alright, the narrative was good in parts. The dialogues were neat. The script was average and the screenplay was mostly entertaining. The background score was not appealing but songs were impressive. Cinematography could have been better. Editing was required during the first half. Costumes were trendy and well designed while the art department was appealing. Mahat has shown good energy and he has a cute mischief in him. Archana Kavi was natural and sweet. Piaa Bajpai made her presence felt and has good sex appeal. Sarath Babu was standard, Banerjee was elegant, Ali brought few smiles, Brahmi was okay, Pragathi was nice. Harsha was energetic.
Conclusion: The film has dealt with the subtle concept of relationships formed during college and how one has to possess the right talent more than education to come up in life. The first half takes off on a sober note but by interval it gains momentum. The second half is quite better and has some good shades to think. Overall, this is a film which is meant for the youth but it also has a good message about life and career. At the box office, the openings will be strong given its wide release.
Bharatstudent verdict: Good subject with decent appeal
