Thuppakki Tollywood Movie Review

An action packed tale, the story begins with Jagdish (vijay), a captain with the Indian army and he is keen to flush out the ‘sleeper cells’ in the country. He gets engaged to Nisha (Kajal Agarwal) who hails from his village. The story takes a turn when Jagdish goes to Mumbai and a bomb blast occurs. He starts his hunt to chase the culprits and catches one of them only to discover that there are more of such bombs in the city. How Jagdish goes about tracking the other bombs and the people behind it form the rest of the story.

Thuppakki Telugu Cinema Review

The director has come up with a predictable storyline and while the presentation was rich, the narrative was engaging.  The dialogues were energy filled, the script was tight and the screenplay was good. Background score was strong and two songs were melodious.  Cinematography was masterly. Editing was upto the mark. Costumes were trendy and youthful while the art department was natural. Ilayathalapathy Vijay looks suave and carries off his role with good style. Kajal Agarwal looks pretty and sexy wherever required. Jayaram gave many laughs. Same goes with Sathyan. Vidyut Jamwal was perfect as the baddie. Akshara Gowda looks hot. Anupama Kumar was apt. The others did their bit as required.

Thuppakki Filem Review

The film is the dubbed version of the Tamil movie with the same title. Murugadoss is an action packed director and it is totally upto him to elevate the image of Vijay in Tollywood because the superstar has not managed success here. And the director did the job rightly. The first half was filled with elements of comedy, romance, songs and a little bit of action but the second half was changed into a serious action thriller with good execution. The content is nothing special but it is the way the film has been made which will entertain the action audience. At the box office, the film has good chances of becoming a profit grosser.

Bharatstudent verdict : Full paced action entertainer, can be watched once
