Dhamarukam Tollywood Movie Review
Story: A decent treat, the story begins with a Rakshasa named Andhakasura (Ravi Shankar) who is waiting from thousands of years to take revenge on humans and gets his chance. He can do that if he marries Maheswari (anushka) on a special day. But there is Mallikarjun (nag) who once had a strong faith in lord Shiva but no longer believes due to his childhood experience of losing his family. However, it is written that a marriage between Mallik and Maheswari can only save the world. What happens after that forms the rest of the story.
Dhamarukam Telugu Cinema Review
Presentation: The director has come up with a predictable storyline with routine appeal and while the presentation was rich, the narrative was decent.  The dialogues were not that powerful, the script was well knit but the screenplay was not that tight. Background score was upto the mark and three songs were melodious.  Cinematography was top notch. Editing was good. Costumes were suiting the scenes while the art department was appealing. Nagarjuna carried out his role with elegance and he has fit the bill rightly. Anushka looks gorgeous as ever and she sizzled in the songs. Ravi Shankar got a meaty role and he made full use of it, his dialogue delivery was interesting. Prakash Raj was good. Ganesh Venkatraman made his presence felt. Avinash and Devan were apt. Brahmanandam, M S Narayana, Krishna Bhagawan, Raghu Babu formed the comedy group. The others did their bit as required.

Conclusion: The film had gone through several hardship before it finally came out into the screens. The first half goes in a very predictable manner and there is nothing special to see. But the interval bang onwards things change. The second half is filled with good energy and the last twenty minutes or so is definitely worth a watch. Overall, this film can be watched for its high level of visual effects and the songs. At the box office, it will be challenging for the film to get to the success point but still it will manage a decent report.
Bharatstudent verdict: Good packaging, average execution, worthy visuals, go for it!
