Super Nani Bollywood Movie Review
Bharti (rekha) is a sacrificing and selfless lady who has been taking care of her CEO husband Bhatia (randhir), son Suketu (rajesh), daughter in law Aastha (shreya) and daughter Gargi (anchal). Each has their own mindset but none really understands the sacrifice of Bharti. In comes Mann (sharman) from the US who believes in Indian values. He notices the way Bharti gets snubbed at all times. He decides to come up with a documentary and involves Bamboo (anupam kher), the childhood friend of Bharti. What happens from there forms the rest.
Super Nani Hindi Cinema Review
The director has come up with a unusual storyline and while the presentation was rich, the narrative was not. The dialogues were okay. The script was average and the screenplay could have been lot better. The background score was weak and songs were stale. Cinematography was the saving grace to this film. Editing was alright. Costumes were well designed to suit the backdrop while the art department was apt. Rekha has carried the entire film on her shoulders and she delivered it very well. Sharman Joshi was competent and effective. Randhir Kapoor was good. Rajesh Kumar was regular. Shweta didn’t have much to do. Anupam Kher was not used well. Shreya was standard. Others didn’t get scope.
Super Nani Filem Review
The idea of respecting a woman’s identity at home and her contribution is quite good but it has to be conceived with the right element of emotion and balance. This one is based on the Gujarati play ‘Baa Ae Maari Boundary’. The first half goes about with the layering of the plot and the interval bang was somewhat okay. The second half revolved around some melodrama, sentiment, some humor and some romance. Overall, this is a film which was made with a good intent but it was not able to create the required impact. At the box office, this may be a below average fare.
