Ram-Leela Bollywood Movie Review
Story:
A well knit tale set on the backdrop of Gujarat, the story begins with Ram (ranveer) and Leela (deepika) who come from two very powerful families. Apparently, both families are crossing swords with each other. But as destiny would have it both Ram and Leela fall in love with each other. It is then that the families discover the relationship and a big battle breaks out. What happens from there forms the rest of the story.

Presentation:
The director has come up with an intensely romantic storyline and while the presentation was very rich, the narrative was quite absorbing. The dialogues were well written. The script was predictable but it was the screenplay which made it lot better. The background score was melodious and all the songs were worth watching. Cinematography was the main strength to this film. Editing was required during the later half. Costumes were well designed to suit the royalty while the art department was majestic. Ranveer Singh has evolved well with this role and he proves his mettle. The show stealer however was Deepika Padukone with her brilliant timing and involved act. Gulshan Deviah was good. Richa Chadda was impressive. Supriya was superb. Abhishek Singh was apt. Sharad Kelkar was standard. Others did their bit as required and added value.

Conclusion:
As being speculated, the story happens to finds its roots from the age old Romeo and Juliet theme but it was tweaked well to suit the Indian taste. The first half goes on a lighter note with elements of romance, some comedy and moments of action. The second half gets quite serious and turns into a very emotional saga. If only the length was trimmed the film could have given a much better impact. Still, the technical and production values were outstanding. At the box office, the film has it all to score success.
