Besharam Bollywood Movie Review
Story:
A poor tale the story is about Babli (ranbir) who is a car mechanic and a car thief. But then he does the stealing only to support his orphanage because he is also an orphan. However, he does a big mistake when he steals the car of Tara (pallavi) the girl he loves the most and sells it to Chandel (jaaved) who is into money laundering business. This brings friction into their lives and how Babli decides to redeem his wrongdoings forms the rest of the story.

Presentation:
The director has come up with a regular storyline and while the presentation was rich, the narrative was disappointing. The dialogues were good at places. The script was just average and the screenplay was a total letdown. The background score was alright but none of the songs were worth listening or watching. Cinematography was the main strength to this film. Editing was effective. Costumes were designed to suit the backdrop while the art department was majestic. Ranbir Kapoor did his best to salvage the situation, he did his part but that’s all. Pallavi could not really fit into the scheme of things though she is pretty. Rishi Kapoor was good, Neetu was overboard, Jaaved Jaaferi was the best, Amitosh Nagpal was exaggerating.

Conclusion:
The film has been made with an intent of giving a masala potboiler but such things require tacky comedy and a strong screenplay to keep the energy up. However, that didn’t happen here. The first half was somewhat okay and had its moments but the second half really could not muster enough momentum. Overall, this is a film which had some potential but that’s all. At the box office, the openings will be heavy but it will not be a hit.
