Chennai Express Bollywood Movie Review
A masala tale the story begins with Rahul (shahrukh) who is based in Mumbai and he sets off on a journey to Rameshwaram in Tamil Nadu to fulfill the last wish of his grandfather. He goes there to immerse the ashes of his grandpa. On the way, he chances upon Meena (deepika), daughter of Azhagasundaram (sathyaraj). Meena is running from her father because he wants her to marry Thangabalu (nikitin dheer) a man she doesn’t love. What happens from there forms the rest of the story.
Chennai Express Hindi Cinema Review
The director has come up with a masala filled storyline and while the presentation was rich, the narrative was quite energetic. The dialogues were witty and fun filled. The script was average but the screenplay made it lot better. The background score was melodious and three songs were worth watching. Cinematography was the main strength to this film. Editing was crisp but could have been better in the second half. Costumes were well designed to suit the nativity while the art department was majestic. Shahrukh Khan is charming as usual and his energy levels were exceptional. The show stealer was Deepika was once again with her dialogue delivery and gripping performance she is evolving more as a performer and leaves a lasting impact. Nikitin Dheer was impressive. Sathyaraj was excellent. Lekh Tandon was good, Kamini Kaushal was nice. The item song by Priyamani was sizzling.
Chennai Express Filem Review
The film is not much of a content or substance filled product but it has followed a typical masala formula packed with comedy, entertainment, action. One can see traces of south Indian films a lot. The first half goes about with elements of fun, song and some romance. The second half is more serious and has its own share of sentiment and emotion. Overall, this is a film which is more of a time pass entertainer dosed with full masala. At the box office, this looks like a winner.

Bharatstudent verdict:
Authentic south Indian masala, can be watched
