D-Day Bollywood Movie Review
Story:
A gripping tale the story begins with Wali Khan (irrfan) sent to Pakistan to report about the activities of most wanted don (rishi kapoor) to RAW head Ashwini Rao (nasser). Soon, a team is sent from India to assist Wali Khan and capture the don. They are army officer Rudra Pratap (arjun), Zoya (huma) an explosives expert, Aslam (akash) a thief. The team reaches Pakistan and almost gets successful in capturing the Don. But something goes wrong and what happens from there forms the rest of the story.

Presentation:
The director has come up with a riveting storyline and while the presentation was rich, the narrative was quite absorbing. The dialogues were well written. The script was above average and the screenplay made it lot better. The background score was melodious and songs were alright. Cinematography was the main strength to this film. Editing was required at few places. Costumes were well designed to suit the surroundings while the art department was natural. Irrfan Khan was excellent, Arjun Rampal was tremendous, Huma Qureshi was good, Shruti Haasan was competent, Akash Dahiya was apt, the real showstealer was Rishi Kapoor with his gripping performance. Nasser was natural, K K Raina was neat. Others did their bit as required.

Conclusion:
The very plot of the film is rather precarious because many can relate it to real life so the team has worked well to make it convincing yet fictitious. The first half goes about with the layering of the plot and the second half unravels the layers. The climax was worth watching. Overall, this is a film which has to be watched not just for the thrilling drama but also for its sound technical values and performances. At the box office, this looks like a winner.
