Bhaag Milkha Bhaag Bollywood Movie Review
Story:
An inspiring tale, the story revolves around Milkha (Farhan Akhtar) and his life from childhood. At an early age, he loses his family during the partition clashes of independence. From there, he goes through various ups and downs which involve his training as an athlete with his coach (Prakash Raj), his bonding with his sister (Divya Dutta), his love for a woman (Sonam Kapoor). Without any money or mentoring, how Milkha overcomes challenges in life forms the rest of the story.

Presentation:
The director has come up with a factual storyline and while the presentation was rich, the narrative was absolutely absorbing. The dialogues were well written. The script was above average and the screenplay was enigmatic. The background score was melodious and though the songs were situational they were worth listening and watching. Cinematography was the main strength to this film. Editing was crisp but could have been sharper in terms of length. Costumes were suitable to the backdrop while the art department was astounding. The film belongs entirely to Farhan Akhtar, his commitment and dedication is seen in every frame and he can be ready to bag a pile of awards. Sonam Kapoor was brief but she made her presence felt. Prakash Raj was powerful. The one to watch out for was Pawan Malhotra, he was outstanding. Rebecca Breeds was sensuous and did well. Dalip Tahil was elegant. Divya Dutta was good. Jabtej Singh was excellent. Others did their bit as required and added value.

Conclusion:
The film is based on the life of the Flying Sikh Milkha Singh and it must be said that the entire team put in their heart and soul to bring his story to life. The first half goes about with the layering of Milkha’s life and its challenges but the second half has got very intense and emotional sequences. The only flip is the length of the film but still one doesn’t find an idle moment. Overall, this is a film which is a biopic of highest quality and top grade performances. At the box office, this is sure to reap benefits and a blockbuster seems to be on the cards.
